III : GOTESHAZ, BALROG OF MALAL
DAEMON PRINCE
(AND A BEAUTIFULY MADE DESTROYED HOUSE BY MARIA)
This model is the Citadel C31 "Giant Monster" Balrog (1983).
A beautiful model, perfect for a Daemon Prince!
As for the Ruined Hovel:
Maria made this beautiful piece of terrain and it is amazing.
Beautifully weathered and detailed with moss, grass and cheeky hidden skull!
Born Jean Rene Goteshaz, a Chaos Lord and devoted follower of the chaos god Khorne, he was granted ascension to Daemonhood following a battle in which he single handedly massacred two entire regiments of bowmen, fended off the green knight, and slayed a Duke through sheer frenzied rage. After many years of devoted service, the chaos god wished to test Goteshaz, asking him to prove his loyalty by slaying is own son in one-on-one combat. As Goteshaz refused, the god of blood abandoned his once favored champion. Slowly losing his abilities and physical stability, Goteshaz called out to the warp. He begged for another chance to prove his worthiness to be Daemon Prince. This is when Malal, Hierarch of Terror and Anarchy, The Lost god, answered. He offered a deal to Goteshaz: Join his quest to destroy the other four chaos gods, devote his immortal life to this cause, and he would return him to full strength for all eternity. Goteshaz accepted this bargain, and became a Balrog-like entity of pure fire and hate, burning the very ground he treads upon. Behold: Goteshaz, The Balrog of Malal!
Cool beans, good use of Malal too.
ReplyDeleteI may have to make use of him and the other lost gods, like Gaad.
Loving the combat cards, how bothered would you be if I were to tell you there is a spelling mistake on your card template though?
Thank you! I thoroughly enjoy any mention of Malal or the lost gods. My goal is to get a Kaleb Daark model and/or a Skrag the Slaughterer for more Malal goodness, but alas, those models are around $100 USD each...and I'd rather have a whole metal regiment at that price.
DeletePS: I am aware of the typo, and plan on fixing it for the future! ("Stregnth")
Back in the day before I had to sell all my stuff I had a Kaleb Daark, fond memories and much nostalgia.
